A Little More About Me

About My Wanderlust

I’m a 35 year old woman living, working, and lounging around in Chicago. This blog will be about the vacations I’ve taken, the vacations I want to take, and what I’m doing until the next one.  I love to travel! I recently returned from a fantasy trip to Paris and it was exactly what I hoped it would be, except that it was too short.

My love of travel is not just about the experience of going to some place I’ve never been which is thrilling in itself, but I also tend to learn a little something more about myself as I’ve started travel. In the past few years I’ve traveled alone for the first time and internationally. Indulging in travel has been more than simple vacations; it’s been a game changer.

 It recently occurred to me that I shouldn’t only explore my interests once or twice a year. Beyond simply talking about where I’ve been and where I want to go, I’m also going to get out a bit more and enjoy the Windy City. I have a bad habit of finding excuses to lie around in the house rather than actually getting out and trying new things. I'm a home body, bookworm, movie lover, and bath junkie; none of these things lend themselves to venturing more than a mile or so from my home. My biggest adventures in the city tend to be a trek to a newly discovered vintage clothing store. Well, it's time for a shake up. It's been a year of stretching myself and this blog is just another opportunity to keep heading in that direction.
